How BroadcomAudits collects, uses, stores, and protects information you provide through this website.

Last updated: 25 May 2026

1. Who we are

BroadcomAudits ("we", "us", "our") is an independent advisory firm operating the website broadcomaudits.com. We provide audit defence, licensing assessment, negotiation, and advisory services to enterprises addressing Broadcom (VMware, Symantec, CA Technologies, Carbon Black) licensing matters.

We are not affiliated with Broadcom Inc. and do not act on behalf of Broadcom or its resellers, partners, or subsidiaries.

2. What we collect

We collect only information you provide directly through the forms on this website. This typically includes:

  • Full name
  • Work email address
  • Company name
  • Job title (where provided)
  • Subject area of inquiry and primary product
  • The content of any message or notes you submit

We also collect limited technical data automatically: IP address, browser type, referring URL, and aggregated page view data via privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use behavioural advertising trackers.

3. Why we collect it

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and provide the advisory services you request
  • Send you Broadcom Audit Alerts emails, if you have subscribed
  • Deliver requested white papers and research
  • Maintain records of completed engagements for regulatory and audit purposes
  • Improve the content and usability of this website

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties under any circumstances.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with the limited service providers required to operate the website and respond to inquiries:

  • Formspree processes form submissions and forwards them to us
  • Email delivery providers handle outbound newsletter and response email
  • Hosting and analytics providers deliver the website and aggregated usage statistics

Each provider operates under its own privacy terms and processes data only on documented instructions from us. We do not share information with Broadcom, any Broadcom partner or reseller, or any competing advisory firm.

5. How long we keep it

Inquiry data is retained for the duration of any active engagement and for a further 7 years thereafter to satisfy professional record-keeping standards. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe, after which your email is removed from the active list within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and equivalent regimes you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request erasure of your data where no overriding legal obligation applies
  • Object to processing for direct marketing at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or equivalent supervisory authority

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@broadcomaudits.com. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.

7. Cookies and analytics

This site uses a minimal set of cookies necessary for basic functionality (form submission state, layout preferences). We use a privacy-respecting analytics service that does not set persistent identifiers and does not enable cross-site tracking. We do not run advertising pixels, retargeting scripts, or social media tracking.

8. Security

All data transmitted to and from this website is encrypted in transit using TLS. Form submission data is held in encrypted storage at our processors and accessed by named members of our team only. We review access logs quarterly and rotate credentials annually.

If we ever become aware of a personal data breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours, as required by law.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active newsletter subscribers and noted at the top of this page. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
